Hopped on the Subte (pronounced soob-tay) and found my way to Palermo, a neighborhood known for having really pretty parks, great restaurants, and climbing real estate prices. Gorgeous day out, and here are some pics...
Parque 3 de Febrero
It's spring here, so there are all kinds of cute, newly-born things running around....
Rosedal, a super-pretty rose garden fully in bloom (when you see my pics of the center, you might share my assessment that Palermo has a totally separate and much more extensive park maintenance budget).
While in the main park, I checked out the Museo de Artes Plásticas Eduardo Sívori, which was small but very nice. And I had some amazingly good tiramisu ice cream. I also went to my first Spanish lesson. I was supposed to have one one a day earlier, but my tutor had wanted to go to the center to "compartir el dolor" (share the pain).
Got back to the apartment and was completely exhausted. Talking in Spanish for two hours is crazy tough.
